"Three years in the making" - by Craig Anderson
"About this time three years ago there I was standing in the shop door of 3 mobile when my old mate Kieran Smith came up to me and said ‘’I am starting a new football team called Maidenhead Revolution, do you fancy coming training?’’ and the rest as they say is history.

Ever since the first ever game against Duke of York we have been making things happen.  Ever since the first game and
that first goal scored by Mitch (Scarvaci) all the way to the Datchet tournament win, we have been making head way,
or be it the odd pot hole along the way.

With the final a little over a week away so much is going thru my head. Will I start? Will I be on the bench?  Will I
even be in the squad and to be honest I don’t even want to think about that last one. If I am not starting, I can kind
of understand as I have been ill and only now got back to 100% but all the same I will still be gutted but let’s face it,
at the end of the day it’s a team game not a one man show. I know this much though, I will need no encouraging in
time for the kick off as I am already pumped up as I write this. I could go out and play the final right now! Any one
that needs to be ‘’pumped up’’ for the final should not even be playing. Everyone should want it for as much as
themselves and just as much for the team mate standing next to them in battle.

Bar the Datchet Tournament Final it will be my first proper final and will be such a special day for me.  My first game
in floodlights as well and probably for most of the lads as well so it will be interesting to see how we cope with that.
Will I be nervous? Yeah sure I will be and if you’re not then you must be pretty cool in your head or just not want it
enough to care.

Over the last three years it has been an honour and a privilege for me to be able to play for the Gaffer. At one time I
had more appearances than anyone else and I'm able to say I scored the first competitive hat-trick for the Dragons,
not bad for a left back eh?

In the likely hood this will be one of, if not my last game for Maidenhead Revolution FC for the next 3 years as I am off to university in the summer but I will always support the lads from afar and wish them all the luck for the future. So many people to thank so I won’t name names just in case I forget people. All except one. Gaffer thanks for doing so much for me over the last few years and standing by me just as I have done for you. I know you will take this team forward and to Saturday football sooner than later. Good luck."
