James Johnson, although not technically gifted, he is not afraid to go into tackles and hassle the opposition. Best deployed in a holding role, James has been a major player in the Revolution's last 8 games of 2007/08 season breaking down the opposition attack and earned man of matches for doing so. James earned the 2007/2008 Most Improved Player as voted by his peers. James' knowledge, passion and respect from fellow players on and off the pitch earned him the position of vice-captain for the 2008/2009 season.
