Datchet Football Festival
The Datchet Village Football Festival will be back again this year, once again being held at Datchet Recreation Ground but this time will feature Maidenhead Revolution. The date for this years Festival is the 7th September, which is the week before the start of the new season. The format will be two groups of six sides with the top two in each group progressing to the semi finals and the winners of that will progress to the final to battle it out for the Atlantic Celtic Cup. The current holders are Datchet Village who are also the hosts of the tournament. The competition is 11 a side and each game will be 10 minutes each way with the first game starting at 10.00am. The competition is also sanctioned by The Berks & Bucks FA, so yellow cards count towards the season too. As in previous years, there will be a Bar and BBQ, supplied by the Morning Star Datchet, to keep players and supporters refreshed and refueled over the course of the day.
